ITINERARY Day 1 Embark in Venice We arrive in Venice and board our ship at 18.00, enjoying the evening at leisure to explore the city. Day 2 Venice This morning’s optional excursion includes a guided tour of Doge’s Palace and St Mark’s Square. This afternoon we may wish to explore the 32 mile long Venetian Lagoon and its islands, Murano and Burano. We have free time this evening to explore Venice. Day 3 Venice - Chioggia - Porto Viro - Canda We cruise to Chioggia, from where we can enjoy a guided tour of Padua and visit the Basilica. We return to our ship in Porto Viro and cruise towards Canda. Please note, the ship departs empty for Chioggia and a coach transfer is provided to Porto Viro for passengers not taking the optional Padua excursion. Day 4 Canda - Ostiglia - Mantua This morning we cruise to Ostiglia with this afternoon’s optional excursion being a visit to Verona or Giusti Garden (Jul/Aug only). After, we re-board our ship in Mantua. Day 5 Mantua Today we can visit Cremona (including lunch), taking in its magnificent Cathedral and Torrazzo bell tower. We then visit Polesine Parmense and enjoy a taste of Italian cold cuts and cheeses at a local farm. Day 6 Mantua Today’s optional excursion is a guided tour of Mantua, where the House of Gonzaga ruled for almost 400 years. Alternatively, we may wish to enjoy a tour of the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena. Tonight is our gala evening. Day 7 Disembark in Mantua After breakfast, we disembark at 09.00 and make our way home. Please note, optional coach transfer back to Venice (at extra cost) is available if the operator has parked their coach in Venice. OR Days 7-8 Disembark in Mantua - Lake Garda Area After breakfast, we disembark at 09.00 and make our way to the Lake Garda area for a two night stay. Day 9 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home. The optional lakeside region add-on is a perfect contrast to the cruise – contact us for more information.
