Today’s optional excursion takes us to the 18th century Melk Abbey where we enjoy a tour of the imposing baroque building which towers over the city. We see the Prelate Court, museum rooms, Marble Hall, altars and the famous Library with its intricate ceiling and more than 80,000 volumes. Day 3 Vienna - Linz on the Danube An optional Vienna guided city tour introduces us to the capital’s most famous sights, including the Schwarzenbergplatz square, Musikverein concert hall, State Opera house, Hofburg, St Stephen’s Cathedral, Parliament and City Hall. A second optional excursion takes us to Vienna’s iconic Schönbrunn Palace where we experience the highlights of the magnificent interior and stroll through the delightful gardens. Day 4 Linz on the Danube - Passau Day 5 Disembark in Passau

We cruise to the Rock of Lorelei & onto Rüdesheim where we take a tourist train to Siegfried’s Mechanical Museum , before enjoying Rüdesheim’s Christmas market. Later, we taste Rüdesheimer Kaffee (alcoholic coffee drink). Day 3 Rüdesheim - Mainz - Gambsheim We cruise to Mainz for a guided walking tour of the city, before visiting Gutenberg Museum and browsing the Christmas market. Tonight is our gala evening with entertainment telling Christmas traditions. Day 4 Gambsheim - Strasbourg We visit Musée Lalique to learn about glassmaker, René Lalique. We then cruise to Strasbourg for the Christmas markets. Back on-board, we enjoy mulled wine, an Alsatian dinner and a quiz. Day 5 Disembark in Strasbourg

Midnight Mass will be celebrated in Rouen. *Depending on tides, the Rouen stopover may be replaced by Caudebec-en-Caux. Day 3 (Christmas Day) Rouen - Honfleur - Rouen We cruise to Honfleur and enjoy a guided tour of this picturesque fishing port (included). Sights include the Vieux Bassin, St Catherine’s Church, Salt Halls (Greniers à Sel) and St Léonard Church. Day 4 (Boxing Day) Rouen - Paris Today’s optional guided tour of Rouen includes the Cathedral, Gros Horloge (Great Clock), St Joan of Arc’s Church and Market Square. Tonight is our gala evening.
