LONČARSTVO I zdelovanje posode in drugih izdelkov iz gline, ročno ali na lončarskem vretenu. Posušene izdelke žgejo v pečeh in po potrebi tudi loščijo. Lončarstvo je med najstarejšimi obrtmi, razvijalo se je zlasti v lončarshih središčih, ki so nastala v bližini nahajališč primerne gline (Komenda, Šentjernej, Krško polje, okolica Celja, Dravsko in Ptujsko polje, Prekmurje).
POTTERY P ottery is a craft of producing dishes and other products made of clay, either by hand or on a potter's wheel. Dried products are fired in kilns and, if necessary, they are polished afterwards. Pottery is one of the oldest crafts and it has developed especially in the pottery centres in the vicinity of the deposits of clay, suitable for pottery (the towns of Komenda and Šentjernej, the Krško field, the surroundings of the city of Celje, the Dravsko and the Ptujsko fields, the Prekmurje region).
