Was again held up for clear running over the concluding stages. Began awkwardly and was then tightened for room by Arctic Shock (NZ), which shifted in. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained a laceration to the right fore. A veterinary clearance is required prior to being permitted to race again. Slow to begin. Got its head up when being restrained passing the 1000m. Rider stated his mount was slow to begin and then after settling at the rea of the field, the filly was off the bit from the 600m until straightening and then did run on well wider on the track. He added that the filly was not comfortable on today’s heavy track conditions and lacked a turn of foot. He added mount may be better suited over more ground.
