STANDARDISED DEO SCHEDULE REPORT

14 September 2011 Back in July we reported that a new Child Maintenance Service is to be introduced in 2012. The Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission has asked that software developers standardise the report formats for their software and we have now been given the link to the latest information. Follow this link to view the full document. 13 October 2011 A consultation has been published proposing that the Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission (C-MEC) is abolished and that its functions should be transferred to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions. This change will enable Ministers to have more direct control, responsibility, and accountability over the delivery of child maintenance strategic and operational policy, and ongoing and future reform of child maintenance. This is a structural change, and the consultation does not imply any change in the services delivered to customers. The consultation is aimed primarily at those who have a professional relationship with the Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission, although all views are welcome.
