President Rood Holds Meetings Paul W . Rood, President of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, has been sched uled to conduct an evangelistic campaign in the First Baptist Church of Richmond, Calif., from December 26 to January 9. Dr. Rood requests prayer for a real revival as a result of this effort to reach the com munity with the gospel. Dr. Rood has been invited to speak also at the annual rally of the Christian Business Men’s Com mittee in Chicago, 111., on Monday evening, January 17. Great blessing can result if the Lord’s people will unite with the lead ers of this meeting in praying for the out pouring of God’s power upon this impor tant service. World’ s Christian Fundamentals Association A. C. Huston, 2737 Des Moines St., Des Moines, Iowa, Chairman o f the Organiz ing Committee of the W orld’s Christian Fundamentals Association, sends informa tion concerning the progress of fundamental groups: An urgent invitation is extended to fundamental Christian pastors and lay men throughout the nation to make plans to attend the Annual Meeting of the World’s Christian Fundamentals Associa tion at Waterloo, Iowa, from May 8 to 15. Biola’s World-Wide Prayer Circle “Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us” (Psa. 123 -2). Chosen as the Scripture motto for 1938 for Biola’s W orld-W ide Prayer Cir cle, the above verse indicates the expectant attitude of the members of the Prayer Cir cle friends who select a specific hour which they pledge to set aside each week for in tercession for the Bible Institute of Los Angeles. The Facts From the Soviet Union and the Borders In 1937 Peter Deyneka, General Director of the Russian Gospel Association, visited Soviet Union, Siberia, Borders of Russia and the Far East. Mr. Deyneka found that the Russian people are truly hungry for the Gospel. Some churches are now permitted to hold religious services and are crowded. Despite the New Constitution, many clergymen are still in exile. The Christian believers of the Soviet Union keep faithfully witnessing, suffering, living under great fear and enduring gladly for the Gospel's sake. ON THE BORDERS OF RUSSIA In 1937 the Russian Gospel Association supported 80 Russian evangelists, pastors, mis sionaries and aided many in Soviet Union. W e printed Russian magazines and our mis sionaries distributed tracts, Gospels, etc. Many new fields have been opened, hundreds of homes have been visited and many accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour through our missionaries. , . I . H I I The Executive Committee are grateful to God for the many victories throughout the last year in the home and foreign fields. But, oh I how much more we could do for the Lord’s work in 1938 if we had the means. W e could engage more missionaries who are waiting to go and open up new fields. W on’t you pray and have a part in this great soul-saving work on the Russian field? Send your offering and pledges to the RUSSIAN GOSPEL ASSOCIATION Peter Deyneka* General Director 84 W .
