• A series of sketches were displayed on the hoardings surrounding the Phase 2 Laboratory build. The artworks were created by Andrzej Fanner Brzezina and chart the history of the College’s scientific buildings. • There is a collaborative research project with Queen Mary University of London measuring the lifetime of cosmic ray muons • At the Year 9 Foundations School Geography Quiz Dulwich College brought home the winning school team trophy • Dulwich hosted an Economics Conference with the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA). This was attended by the Upper School Economics students and delegates from five other schools. • At the Weizmann UK safecracking competition, the two Dulwich teams finished 1st and 2nd. This meant that both earnt fully funded trips to compete in the international tournament at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. • Sam Maguire , Beder Mirjan , George Swirsky , William Wakefield , Oliver Spillitt and Sam Milne took part the Student Robotics competition held in Newbury • Dulwich College and Sydenham High School’s combined Young Enterprise team attended the South Central London regional heat. Nick Chitty , Josh Nicholson and Justin Kugel came away with three awards, including the top prize of Best Overall Company. • At the George Watson’s College Model United Nations (MUN) Conference, the Rwanda delegation shone with Jon Ho , Tohid Ismail and Justin Kugel commended for their efforts on their committees and Oliver Laurie winning the award for best delegate • Wilf Edwards , Philip Grammatikopoulos , Vinny Pearce and Teymour Taj , were victorious at the Area round of the National General Knowledge Quiz • The Dulwich College Chess Team produced a superb performance to finish in 4th place in the English Chess Federation National Schools Championship repecharge event held at Eton College • Matthew Verri won a journalism prize at the News Academy Conference • In the Hans Woyda Mathematics competition , Leslie Leung , Shawn Shen , Webber Liu and Girinath Haridas – enjoyed a 43 points to 30 win over Sutton Grammar School in the quarter-final of the competition • Marcus Köttering and Tohid Ismail took part in the 2015 IBSC conference in Nashville Tennessee • Zach Faja (07-14) marked the 100th anniversary of Shackleton’s great Imperial Trans Antarctic Expedition as the Dulwich Representative on explorer Robert Swan’s [OBE] International Antarctic Expedition (IAE)
