Pizza Expressly & deliciously made

YES CHEF Last Wednesday, 30 children from across Abbey Infant and Junior School were chosen to go to Pizza Express as a reward for their outstanding effort towards their learning. First of all, we prepared the dough by covering it with flour to make sure it wasn’t sticky. Then we rolled out the dough, which some people found quite tricky! Luckily, we had our Pizza Expert to help us (who made it look so easy). Afterwards, we spread the tomato sauce, sprinkled some mozzarella, then tried some of the toppings - including raw onion and basil! While our pizzas were baking, we explored the restaurant including standing in the walk-in freezer - which was very cold! Once everyone had a tour, the pizzas had finished cooking so we said a big ‘thank you’ and left the restaurant with big smiles on our faces and our scrumptious pizzas in our hands to take home! Yum!

Thanks to Anjelica and Amanpreet for the story.

FAIRY DOORS On the 1 st of March, the FS2 children went on a fairy door hunt to Warley Woods! They found 10 tiny fairy doors on their hunt. The children had such a lovely time. They found clues such as glittery fairy dust which led to the doors and were able to identify the numbers on there! They also found the Gruffalo characters on stones. Some children sang the Gruffalo song on the way back home. We had a lovely time!

Thanks to Miss Saghir for the story.
