Scandinavia is home to one of the biggest annual rock and metal festivals. Tons of Rock attracts around 150,000 attendees from 84 countries over the four days of its fierce “raw” gigs. There are also multiple stages, a festival campsite and easy access from Ekebergsletta to downtown Oslo if you’d rather sleep in a re- al hotel bed. There are also tons of things to do while you’re in Oslo, from floating saunas to the Munch Museum in this beautiful, design-loving city. This year’s Tons of Rock (24 th to 27 th June) promises to be the biggest and best yet, wi- th an epic lineup that includes Limp Bizkit, Yun- gblud, Iron Maiden and The Offspring. Once you’ve arrived, you should naturally take the opportunity to discover more of Norway's wonders – immerse yourself in Viking cultu- re and Norse mythology, while connecting wi- th like-minded people from around the world - experience everything from “forest bathing” to active adventures in nature. Apart from music, Tons of Rock offers a comprehensive festival experience that includes a huge canteen area with local Norwegian flavours, exclusive merc- handise stands and art installations. It also pro- vides a unique opportunity to listen to and wat- ch the world’s biggest stars while enjoying the long and light Nordic summer nights in one of Europe’s most beautiful capitals.
