„Festival muzike“ („Fête de la Musique“) održava se 21. juna, uvek na dan letnjeg solsticija, i nudi besplatne muzičke kon- certe širom Francuske. Festival je otvoren za sve učesnike, bi- lo da su amateri ili profesionalni muzičari, koji žele da nastu- pe na ovom radosnom događaju. Od svih učesnika se traži da nastupe besplatno, a i svi koncerti su besplatni za javnost. Ve- lika većina nastupa je na otvorenom – na ulicama, u parkovi- ma i javnim zgradama, odnosno muzejima, železničkim sta- nicama, prodavnicama i dvorcima. Čuje se muzika svih vrsta i žanrova, od pojedinaca, bendova do orkestara, opera i horo- va. France’s Fête de la Musique (Festival of Music) is always held on the summer solstice (21 st June this year) and offers free mu- sic concerts nationwide across France. Open to all participants who want to perform at this joyful event – whether amateurs or professional musicians – for free, all concerts are also free to the public. The majority of performances are held outdoors – on the streets and in parks and public buildings, including mu- seums, train stations, shops and castles. It encompasses mu- sic of all kinds and genres, with performers ranging from solo artists and bands to orchestras, opera companies and choirs.
