Piste sa poslednjeg modnog meseca bile su prepune umetničkih, apstraktnih interpretacija cvetova The catwalks of the most recent fashion month bloomed with artistic and abstract interpretations of florals

Noten beaded black garden motifs on cropped trench coats, while Altuzarra sewed hundreds of sheer dahlia-shaped strips to form a beautiful, flowing gown. All of this is why we should embrace the detail-oriented and opulent look with a piece embellished with 3D floral ap- pliqués. Rosette slippers like those from Simone Rocha add an easy touch of playfulness to everyday style, while a mini dress with a crystal floral design like Simkhai’s creation is ideal for a formal spring event. (Though you shouldn’t wear it to a wed- ding, unless you’re the bride.) While some designers turned their Spring 2026 catwalks into multicoloured gardens, others opted for a single colour for their floral landscapes: white. From light mini-dresses in ivory lace (Dior and Givenchy) to raincoats painted with white vines (the fabulous Simone Rocha once again), such a mini- malist interpretation appeals to those who prefer a neutral, understated palette and gypsophila in their bouquets. Flowers and fringes – why choose one fun fashion state- ment when you can have them both? McQueen shredded a black and red floral gown into strips, turning the print into a veritable optical illusion. Meanwhile, Givenchy’s Sarah Burton distressed an elegant floral coat until its hem became a fringe that fluttered down the catwalk. For those who aren’t runway models or VIP clients, a slip with ruffles and a garden print or

a rhinestone skirt with fringes will function just as well. Why now? The return of floral motifs reflects a broader cultural shift. As fashion turns towards escapism—fuelled by nostalgia, fantasy, and even gardening culture—designers are turning to nature as a source of inspiration and solace. It is al- so a reaction: after years of clean lines and neutral palettes, there is clearly a desire for joy, colour and visual richness.
