OFFRE D’EMPLOI - SESSION D’INFORMATION La Cité de Clarence-Rockland est présentement à la recherche de personnes pour combler les postes de Pompier volontaire pour nos casernes de Clarence Creek et Rockland. Nous aurons une session d’information pour tous les candidats(es) accompagnés(ées) de leur conjoint, intéressés(ées) à se joindre à notre équipe, le jeudi 1er novembre 2012 dans la Salle de conseil au 1560, rue Laurier, Rockland de 19 h 30 à 21 h . EXIGENCES REQUISES (à être expliquées pendant la session d’information) • être en bonne condition physique et intellectuelle • être âgé(e) de 18 ans ou plus • être un(e) résident(e) de la Cité de Clarence-Rockland et demeurer un(e) résident(e) aussi longtemps que le candidat/candidate occupe le poste de Pompier volontaire • avoir son propre moyen de transportation (auto ou équivalent) et détenir un permis de conduite valide • doit se qualifier et obtenir une licence « DZ » pendant la première année d’emploi, par l’entremise de notre département • passer avec succès un examen médical complet • passer avec succès un test écrit, un test d’agilité (relié au poste de pompier) et tout autre test requis par le Service des incendies de Clarence-Rockland (ex.: échelles et appareils respiratoires) • avoir complété avec succès la 12e année (école secondaire) ou équivalent • bilingue (parlé et écrit) • Les Pompiers volontaires embauchés par la Cité de Clarence-Rockland devront compléter avec succès le “Curriculum du pompier de l’Ontario” en dedans de la limite de temps alloué si il/elle veut maintenir sa position avec le Service des incendies. Préférence sera donnée aux personnes disponibles durant le jour du lundi au vendredi. La personne choisie pour le poste sera sous une période de probation d’un (1) an. The City of Clarence-Rockland will receive tenders for replacing part of the roof at 415 Lemay Street in Clarence Creek. The roof shall be replaced with torched-on modified bitumen membrane system. Interested parties are invited to pick up the tender forms at the Community Services at the Rockland Town Hall. Qualified interested bidders must attend the job showing scheduled for Monday, October 15th 2012 at 10:00 a.m. on the job site. Sealed tenders must be clearly marked as to their contents and must be returned no later than Friday, October 19th at 2:00 p.m. to the office Community Services / Recreation.

Please be advised that parties interested in providing trucking services to the City of Clarence-Rockland this winter are invited to pick up an annual trucking service registration form. The registration forms are available at the Rockland City Town Hall from the Physical Services Department as of Friday, October 26th, 2012. All trucks must be registered before December 1st, 2012.

EMPLOYMENT OFFER - INFORMATION SESSION VOLUNTEER FIRE-FIGHTER FIRE DEPARTMENT The City of Clarence-Rockland is currently seeking applications to fill the positions of Volunteer Fire-fighter at our Clarence Creek and Rockland fire stations. We will be holding an information session, for all candidates and their spouses who are interested in joining our team. The information session will be held on Thursday November 1st, 2012 in the Council Chambers, at 1560 Laurier Street in Rockland from 7:30 p.m to 9:00 p.m. • be a resident of the City of Clarence-Rockland and remain a resident as long as he/she holds a position of Volunteer firefighter • provide for his/her own mean of transportation (car or equivalent) and have a valid driver’s licence • must qualify and obtain a “DZ” licence within the first year of employment. DZ licence will be available through our department • successfully pass a complete medical examination • successfully complete a written test, the agility test (job related) and all other tests required by the Clarence- Rockland Fire Department (i.e.: ladders and breathing apparatus) • have successfully completed grade 12 secondary education or equivalent • Bilingual. (spoken & written) • Volunteer firefighters hired by the Clarence-Rockland Fire Department will have to successfully complete the “Ontario Fire-fighter Curriculum” within the prescribed time frame if he/she is to maintain his/her position with the Fire Department. Preference will be given to persons available during the day, Monday to Friday. The person chosen for the position will be on probation for a period of one (1) year.
