ROCKLAND | Le parc Simon de Rockland semble attirer de la clientèle délinquante ces derniers temps. Des actes de vandalisme ont été remarqués à certains endroits. La Police provinciale de l’Ontario (PPO), détachement de Russell, rapporte également plusieurs
occasions où le parc a été utilisé comme endroit pour la consommation et la vente de drogue. La PPO en collaboration avec les autorités municipales incitent la communauté à protéger le parc Simon. Durant les prochaines semaines, des patrouilles seront effectuées dans le secteur afin d’éliminer les problèmes de méfaits et de drogue. « Ce parc doit demeurer un endroit sécuritaire pour notre communauté », a déclaré Serge Gauthier agent des services communautaires et des communications à la PPO.
