The other project proposed for CIIP fund- ing is an upgrade plan for the Clarence Creek Arena. The refurbishing would im- prove handicapped access at the facility, upgrade the emergency lighting and exte- rior lighting systems, the interior plumbing, and the ice rink refrigeration system. Cost estimate is $1.14 million. Projects approved for CIIP funding re- quire 50-50 cost-sharing between the fed- eral government and the municipality.
First priority goes to the Regional Wa- ter Supply Phase 3 project centred around the rural villages of Bourget and Clarence Creek. Estimated at about $3 million cost, this phase of the project would involve a loop extension network for the water mains of Bourget and Clarence Creek to connect with the neighbouring villages of St-Pascal- Baylon and Cheney-Hammond.
