THE

Scottish adventure! Highland Games, Shortbread, and Art Galore!

LAUNCHING THE TERM In a whirlwind of blue and white, Year 2 students at Abbey delved headfirst into Scottish traditions on their recent Scottish Day. These eager learners were transported to the land of bagpipes and tartan as they engaged in a variety of exciting activities. They enthusiastically participated in Highland games, crafting delectable shortbread and exploring the vibrant world of Scottish art. With kilts swaying and laughter echoing, these young scholars embraced the rich heritage of Scotland, kicking off this term’s learning in Year 2. BECOME A JOURNALIST Attention all families! It's time to showcase your incredible adventures and community spirit. Abbey is on the hunt for the most epic, heartwarming, and downright awesome pictures and stories of your at-home activities and community events. Whether you've conquered the art of baking, built a jaw- dropping fort, or joined forces with neighbours for a community event, we want to hear from you! So grab your cameras, dust off your writing skills and get ready to share your incredible moments. Let's celebrate together and inspire others with your creativity and what’s going on in our community. We can’t prime to print every story - but we’ve not missed one yet! Our Abbey Lens is designed to celebrate what’s going on at school and in our community.
