GYMNASTICS STARS PLUNGE INTO DIVING DREW Pupils from year 2,3 and 4 flipped for joy this week as talent scouts from Sandwell Aquatics Centre splashed in to spot future diving sensations. These youngsters were put through their paces in gymnastics, with coaches eyeing potential for poolside prowess. Every pupil received a leaflet for a free diving session at the pool, and a select few were chosen to dive deeper into the sport. Could Abbey be the breeding ground for the next Tom Daley? Only time will tell if these gymnasts can make a splash on the national diving scene!
SUPER SKILLS WITH CARTOONING WHIZZ!
Year 3 pupils unleashed their inner artists thanks to a 'Sensible Pencil' workshop led by cartoonist Christian Marshall. Ditching drab doodles, the youngsters dived into sketching and caricature, transforming simple lines and shapes into amazing creations. The workshop tied in perfectly with their super hero topic, giving them the power to bring their own caped crusaders to life on paper. Move over Marvel, Abbey's got a new league of extraordinary artists!
