Everyone in stitches! Y4 sewing
HANGING DECORATION Creativity had taken centre stage at Abbey as Year 4 pupils welcomed parents and carers for a hands-on workshop with a crafty twist. Needles and threads had replaced pencils as families worked side by side to learn a range of beautiful stitches, creating colourful hanging decorations to take home. The room had been filled with calm concentration, bursts of laughter, and proud smiles as children mastered new skills and shared the experience with their grown-ups. For many, it had been a chance to slow down, focus, and enjoy learning in a completely different way. Staff had praised the fantastic atmosphere, calling it a perfect blend of creativity, teamwork and joy. By the end, both decorations and confidence had been stitched together beautifully.
