Understanding the role. Overview. You’ll act as a lead member of a project team, taking briefs from the partner / project leader, working under your own initiative to deliver projects from inception to completion. You’ll be undertaking surveys and providing and/or reviewing designs and specifications of systems in your primary engineering discipline. You’ll deliver projects and design outputs on time, to contract and within budget, as well as identifying business development opportunities wherever possible. You’ll have the opportunity to develop and assist others in order to create integrated systems and ensure a holistic approach to the delivery of building designs. You’ll be working in a coordinated way with other professionals, developing effective relationships to stimulate future business growth.

Attending and contributing to design team meetings, client meetings, pre- contract and post-contract meetings to ensure open communication among all project team members.

Selection criteria.

Project experience. Demonstrable track record of delivering large-scale MEP projects (in excess of £20m) from inception to completion, ideally with residential, commercial, retail or leisure sectors. Ideally comfortable across both mechanical and electrical engineering building services.

Personal skills. An outgoing,

People management. A naturally engaging relationship builder, who can evidence experience of developing a trusted network of contacts. Able to lead a consultative approach in order to further client relationships, and articulate complex MEP issues within a user-friendly dialogue.
