more than two and a half years and now he is now highly competent, so the watershed moment probably came soon after he joined. The other two have coming up for two years’ experience. That’s given us a level of stability and it’s providing dividends now. Customers have got used to those guys to the point that some ask for an individual by name. We’ve just replaced two of the older vans with brand spanking new ones and I’ve just taken on my fourth engineer. The other big thing that has really proved its worth so far The trouble with trying to find a manager in this network is that the role is quite technical. There’s a lot of product knowledge needed and that is only gained from experience of working with Pirtek over time. So I came in with the idea that the best managers would come from within. However, after taking on experienced engineers as managers, I’ve found that it hasn’t worked for one reason or another. I completely changed my mindset and realised I needed to focus first is taking on Rakesh, my centre manager.
