PAUL QUINN IS A PLACE THAT PUSHES THE BOUNDARIES OF HIGHER EDUCATION.
We pride ourselves in teaching our students to challenge the status quo. We believe that greatness comes not from doing the same thing everyone else is doing, but in forging a path that others could not travel while doing things that others cannot do. We will do more than just hand you a degree. We will teach you, challenge you, and nurture you with one goal in mind – your greatness. As the only Historically Black College and University (HBCU) that guarantees all of its residential students paid employment via our federal Work College status, our students come to us from a variety of backgrounds and communities – there is no one type of Quinnite.

THE FOUR L’S OF QUINNITE SERVANT LEADERSHIP
OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES.
We call them the Four L’s of Quinnite Servant Leadership—the foundation of who we are and how we lead. At Paul Quinn, we believe that all Quinnites should:
01 02 03 04
LEAVE PLACES BETTER THAN YOU FOUND THEM.
LEAD FROM WHEREVER YOU ARE.
LIVE A LIFE THAT MATTERS.
LOVE SOMETHING GREATER THAN YOURSELF.
OUR ETHOS IS SIMPLE: WE over Me. It means that the needs of a community must always supersede the wants of an individual. In the Quinnite Nation, you are not allowed to be selfish. Selfish people destroy the fabric of communities. They are the root of all evil and will never be tolerated in the Quinnite Nation.

OUR MISSION, BRIEFLY STATED, IS TO CREATE CHANGE AGENTS FOR THE GLOBAL MARKETPLACE. Our goal is to eradicate intergenerational poverty. We believe that in a country as wealthy as America, no one should live lives of scarcity. In an effort to do more than simply write about poverty, we created the Urban Work College Model to provide our students the training and resources needed to pull themselves and their families out of poverty.

THE FOUR PILLARS OF
A QUINNITE THE PAUL QUINN EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION IS
ROOTED IN THE FOUR PILLARS OF A QUINNITE EDUCATION. Paul Quinn students receive four different methods of education during their time on campus. The Four Pillars go beyond the traditional college experience. They prepare our students for a life that will require them to be versatile. When Quinnites graduate, we have prepared them to pursue multiple career pathways–careers aligned with their academic major, leveraging one of their
internships into a full time career, utilizing one of their certifications, or bringing their business plan to life.
