Sandy is a customer service representative at a collision repair facility, but in her free time, she loves to read, watch true crime, go thrift- ing, try new restaurants, and go out with her family. As a mom of five, Sandy says one of the biggest challenges she has faced as a parent is determining how to help her kids while understanding what they are going through. Especially in a crisis, she says it is hard to

“Listening without judgment and sitting with them during their dilemma is extremely chal- lenging,” explains Sandy. “As a parent, I feel I must solve their problems, but to help them learn and grow, I have to sit some issues out. It takes a lot of self-control to do so.” However, Sandy knows there are plenty of joys while raising children. She says she loves witnessing their growth and development, watching them thrive from having a positive environment. While there are many obstacles during the process, Sandy states that the best part is teaching her kids the skills to
