One to One PT: Aquatic Therapy and Staying Active

Healing Hands. Caring Hearts.

PATIENT SPOTLIGHT

Backpain is a common issue. For Laurie Van Wess, this common issue affected her daily life. After her second back surgery, which was needed to correct her scoliosis, she found herself in excruciating pain. In a decision to get better, Laurie decided to come to One to One for physical therapy. It was here she formed an instant connection with our clinical director and physical therapist, Jennifer Hauskey. They worked closely together focusing on her back pain and reactivating her atrophied muscles. Through her discussions with Jen and deciding the best course of treatment for Laurie she then converted to aquatic therapy, where she found the most success. “Laurie now comes to therapy 3 times a week and feels she is getting stronger with each session”
