Research and Leadership
Pragati Pradhan earned her Ph.D. from the University of North Bengal in India, at Raman Research Institute, and has been with Embry-Riddle since 2022. She has conducted post-doctoral research at Penn State University, working on developing a one-of-its-kind algorithm for detecting X-ray transients with an upcoming Europe-led satellite, Athena. She then moved to MIT, where she worked on high-resolution spectral analysis of massive stars. She joined Embry-Riddle as an assistant professor, where she teaches physics to engineering majors and astrophysics to astronomy and space physics majors, with new astrophysics courses in development. “At Embry-Riddle, the faculty and students are one big celestial family. . .
