Pour une 9 e année consécutive, Lucie Lortie invite la communauté à venir visiter le petit village de Noël, à Bourget. Jusqu’au 15 janvier, les gens pourront admirer les petites maisons, structures, petits bonhommes et bien d’autres, soigneusement installés dans le sous-sol chez Lucie Lortie. Lors de leur visite, les gens peuvent signer le registre et faire un don à la Société canadienne du cancer. Cette année, le petit-fils de Mme Lortie, Justin, a aidé avec quelques-uns des décors. Il a également ajouté lemot Spécial au village. Pour visiter le village, les gens doivent joindre Lucie Lortie au 613-487-3724 ou envoyer un courriel à glacroix1948@ sympatico.ca.

Letter: The bugs are dying
On November 13, 2014 an organic farmer Don Crosby highlighted and raised con- cerns in an article titled The bugs are sick and dying . I agree 100 per cent. What are we leaving for our children and grandchil- dren. This is what we are all breathing. We can’t ignore the facts. Bees are dying, birds are less and less. Walk through a nearby forest, it is almost silent and void of wildlife. This is a chain re- action. No bugs, no birds, no bees, no wild- life, no vegetation.
I too have noticed, summer after sum- mer, that we have less birds signing, fewer bees and butterflies. Organic farmers are doing what they can for our environment, so should we. More voices are needed, please add yours. Contact your local councillors, MPs and MPPs and press this issue. Stop the use of neonicotinoid pesticides on crops.
