OF 1936 UP THROUGH TODAY? THAT IS, HAS BIOLA REMAINED TRUE TO ITS IDEALOGY AND ITS PURPOSE AND ARE WE STILL FULFILLING THAT PURPOSE? In reply to that question and related questions, I would say that I believe Biola has remained true doctrinally and ideologically to the faith of our founding fathers. Incidentally, it is interesting to note that in the Articles of Incorporation of 1936, the introductory paragraph includes, "The establishment of a school of collegiate or university standing." We must keep in mind that some of the members of the original founding fathers were well educated. Dr. Torrey graduated with honors from Yale University and he did graduate work in the universities in Germany. He was among the very best educated men in the Christian world of that day, or of any day. Dr. Atkinson, Dr. A.B.
