In this course, participants will learn to create legally compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) dedicated to ensuring every student receives the appropriate services and programs to support their individual needs. The course covers the necessary SEIS forms and the legal framework for IEPs, emphasizing both federal and state laws. This comprehensive training will additionally address how to craft clear, measurable, and attainable goals that not only meet legal standards but also drive student success. Equip yourself with the knowledge and skills to create impactful IEPs that support each student’s unique educational journey. Resources, SELPA policies, regulations, and flowcharts will be provided to aid in conducting productive IEP meetings, with opportunities for discussion and questions.

In this course, participants will navigate the intricacies of crafting a legally compliant Individualized Education Program (IEP) to ensure equitable and effective educational outcomes for parents and their children with qualifying disabilities. Participants will explore the ins and outs of Special Education Information System (SEIS) pages, essential components integral to the IEP process. By understanding the legal framework governing IEP development, participants gain insight into safeguarding students’ rights and tailoring support to their needs. All participants will receive valuable resources, links to the SELPA policies and regulations, and flowcharts to help IEP teams engage in meaningful participation. Attendees are encouraged to engage in discussions and ask questions.
