T here is celebration in the air at the Precious Moments Chapel! The year 2019 marks 30 years since the Chapel first opened its doors to the public. This special anniversary is a tribute to the faithfulness and trust of the Christian roots of Precious Moments founding artist Samuel J. Butcher. Equally important as celebrating Mr. Butcher’s extraordinary gift to the Lord, is honoring the dedicated employees of the Chapel, and commemorating the lasting comfort and joy the Chapel has brought to all its visitors – the extended Precious Moments Chapel family.
Certainly, when the Chapel opened in June 1989 no one could have foreseen a family so filled to the brim with love for each other and for the Precious Moments Chapel. The memories from the past 30 years have created a remarkable and rich tapestry filled with lifetime friendships, good times, encouraging moments, hugs, tears, and the greatest love for each other. In fact, the devotion of the Chapel staff mingled with the faith of Chapel guests has inspired the annual Precious Moments Family Reunion Event that so many look forward to year after year.
The Chapel family would like to invite each of you to attend the 2019 Precious Moments Family Reunion Event, Celebrating Our Family Of Love, July 17 – 19 (pre-registration required). As has become customary, Full Packet attendees will receive an Event exclusive figurine. The 2019 Event figurine features a traditional paint palette and is, perhaps, the most unusual Family Reunion Event exclusive figurine of all. Titled May Your Heart Be FilledWith Peace, Love and Inspiration it will take you back to the early years of the Precious Moments collection. The figurine features unique elements from the Original 21 and has other clever details.
The staff is so grateful that you have chosen to not only embrace and support them as they share the message of God’s love, but also for the way so many have joined them in their precious endeavor. Registration information will be in the mail late February. If you would like to receive a registration packet and have not attended a Reunion Event within the last 5 years, please call our Event hotline at 417-359-2855. Please provide your detailed information. Mr. Butcher plans to be with us for this special reunion, and we sure hope you will be too!
