Badges With Books The Fort Worth Police Bike Support Group is a proud sponsor of Badges With Books, a collaborative initiative with the Fort Worth Police Department. Officers are able to provide books to children in their respective neighbor- hoods. The books are generously donated from members of the Fort Worth community. On October 2, Badges With Books provided 12 boxes of books for officers to provide to children. For more information on how to donate to this program, visit https://fortworthbikepatrol.org/

Blue Elves Christmas Events

The Fort Worth Police Department’s Blue Elves and Executive Staff were busy during the holiday season spreading Christmas cheer. The FWPD Blue Elves collected donated toys at Best Buy on December 7 and at Meador Dodge Chrysler on December 20. The toys were delivered to children in Fort Worth. On December 18, Executive Staff and patrol officers partnered with Walmart employees at the McCart Avenue location and surprised shoppers by purchasing Christmas gifts.

Prescription Drug Take Back with Code Blue On October 26, the Fort Worth Police Department’s His- panic community and Northwest neighborhood Code Blue members hosted a prescription drug take back. The take back day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and respon- sible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about prescription abuse.

On November 18, the Fort Worth Police Department Citizens on Patrol hosted the Bowling with the Blue tournament. Over 120 participants took part in the friend- ly competition. Participants showed up to bowl on teams with Fort Worth Police officers and Executive Staff.
