Dear Friends and Colleagues:
Each year USGBC NJ recognizes and presents Gala Awards to companies and in- dividuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in green building and sustainability. The winners of this year’s distinguished awards will be recognized at our 14th Annual Awards Gala: “Building a Future of Sustainability” on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. In addition to the opportunity to recognize NJ’s worthiest projects, the Awards Gala is a celebration of success, where like-minded professionals have the opportunity to convene. The Gala’s proceeds also serve to provide funding for educational pro- grams for inner city students, and to fund schools in underserved communities in establishing their short and long term sustainability master plans.

Dennis is past president of Veri- zon and is the inaugural Director of the Feliciano Business school of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Montclair State University. Dennis’ leadership across New Jersey’s economic development and education sectors has garnered numerous awards and recognitions. Included among them are being inducted into Rutgers University Hall of Distinguished Alumni, being selected to receive the Humanitarian of the Year Award from the American Conference on Diversity and being inducted into the New Jersey Business Hall of Fame. Previous distinguished Gala award winners and honorees include: LG Electronics USA; L’Oréal USA Research & Innovation; Bayer HealthCare U.S. Headquarters; Paterson Habitat for Humanity; MD Ander- son Cancer Center at Cooper; Stevens Institute of Technology’s SURE HOUSE; Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association; and the NJ School Boards Association and NJ Department of Education - New Jersey Green Program of Study.
