Everybody was blown away by Mike Simpkins’ ’40 Cadillac 75 Series Limo that sits on a 2005 Escalade chassis, runs blown 6.2-liter LSA power, a 2-inch section, a 5-inch chop, PPG Bikini Blue paint over Caddy Pearlescent White, and won a “Pick” from TimingTower.com (which all should check out).

Bakersfield-resident Derek Prior, who owns Old School Speed Shop, is a great supporter of the Western Nationals (sponsors the West Coast Showcase, hosts the Kick-Off Party, and much more), but we were digging on his ’60 Chevrolet Parkwood station wagon sitting slammed on an E-Level Kit from AccuAir and spinning vintage Appliance wire wheels.

Mitch Townsend brought out his “Rep/Safety Pick” winning ’72 Chevrolet Corvette that runs a beautiful SharkBite rear suspension, 406ci small- block Chevy power with Sniper EFI, 18-inch Rocket Wheels, and lipstick red paint.
