ambition and this purpose put into ac tion. It is most essential that we “ lift up [our] eyes, and look on the fields” for God. Paul Said, “Be Ye Transformed” Rom. 12:2 No one by nature is fit for the service of God nor even for the family of God. We must be changed by the operation of the Holy Spirit working on and in the human heart. This transformation is a metamorphosis. It is the change that takes place when a caterpillar becomes a butterfly. This change is seen in the transformation of sand into an opal or of clay into a sapphire. The Spirit of God through the Word of God makes the believer a new creature with new desires, new vision, and new love. “ One Receiveth the Prize” 1 Cor. 9:24 It is quite evident that the Christian life is somewhat like a race in which all of God’s dear people are supposed to enter. This race is not in order to obtain salvation. Only those who have eternal life can run in this race. After one has trusted Christ and received salvation and eternal life, then his plan and purpose should be like Moody’s. He should want to be an outstanding example and proof of the wonderful grace of God. He should have a deep desire to exalt Christ in his daily life.
