Nats split weekend openers

Papineauville edged Rockland 6-5 on the scoreboard with a pair of goals from Steven St-Jean and solo points by Jé- rémy Roy, Jacob Osborne, Nicolas Cormier
and Francis Araujo. Viking assists came from Osborne, Roy, St-Jean, Anthony Laprade, Maxime Roussel and Vincent Tardif-Richard. Brayden Lane knocked in a pair of goals for Rockland with teammates MacIntyre, Sevigny, and Raphael Payant punching in

Rockland Wildcats rugby The fall rugby season hits the ground at Rockland District High School as the Wildcats varsity girls host their annual Rugby Sevens invitational tournament on Oct. 8. The Wildcats have a second tournament scheduled in North Dundas Township for the mid-month. The annual Halloween rugby sevens tournament in Ottawa is no longer on the autumn high school league sports schedule. – Gregg Chamberlain

Elisabeth était une dame distinguée, discrète mais surtout honnête. Elle s’est dévouée auprès de sa famille, ses amis et auprès de centaines d’enfants dans les écoles du Nouveau-Brunswick et de l’Ontario. Cette petite femme délicate a transmis ses valeurs toujours par son exemple. Une autre vie débute pour elle auprès de ceux et celles qu’elle a tant aimés. Mme Lepage est décédée le 20 septembre 2015, à l’âge de 104 ans. Elle était l’épouse de feu Amable Lepage (1998), la fille de feu James Poirier (1953) et de feu Mélanie Mercier (1963). Elle laisse sa fille Patricia Tremblay (Orval) de Rockland, ON; ses petites-filles Michèle Lepage (Jean Pierre) de Timmins ON, Renée Tremblay (François) de Rockland,ON,sespetits-filsDanielTremblay(Arianne)d’Ottawa,ON, James Tremblay (Sandra) de Rockland, ON et ses 7 arrière-petits- enfants: Marc Antoine, Marie Pierre, Jessica, Maxime, Jersey, Lucas et Lexi. Elle laisse également sa soeur Shirley Guitard de Dalhousie, N.B. et sa belle-fille Claudette Fleming de Timmins, ON, ainsi que ses belles-soeurs Dorothy Poirier de Bathurst, N.B, Irène Poirier et Marcella Poirier tous de Charlo, N.B. Elle fut prédécédée par : son fils Raymond (1966) et sa fille Marguerite (1954), ses soeurs Emilia Nugent, LodiaTrottier, Marie Guitard et Marguerite Corner, ses frères Romain, Aimé, John, Thomas, Wilfred et Henri Poirier. La famille désire remercier sincèrement le Centre d’Accueil Roger Séguin de Clarence Creek pour leur compassion et les soins exceptionnels. Les funérailles seront célébrées le lundi 28 septembre à 11h, en l’église St. Francis Xavier à Charlo au Nouveau-Brunswick. À la douce mémoire d’une épouse, mère et grand- maman qui nous a quittés le 6 octobre 2013. Deux années se sont écoulées depuis ton départ pour un monde meilleur. Le temps pourra s’enfuir, mais il n’e!acera jamais de nos cœurs ce que tu as été pour nous tous. Ton souvenir reste toujours vivant et nous accompagne partout où nous allons.
