Caveman Salsa

You have seen my fresh “Garden Salsa” from last summer. This is a new unique salsa recipe. What makes it different is the preperation. It is cooked right on the coals like a cavemen The ingredients include: Plum tomatoes, jalapenos, poblano pepper, onion, garlic, cilantro, salt, pepper, lime, tortillas, and one small can of chipotle pepper.

Build a charcoal fire and let the charcoals burn down until they are gray. Place the plum tomatoes (5-6), 2 jalapenos, 1 poblano pepper, 1 onion sliced in half, 4-5 garlic cloves (wrapped in foil) right on the coals. Yes, right on the coals! (See the picture)

Turn the ingredients until all sides blister (char). Remove from the coals and place on a baking sheet to let everything cool.

Rough chop all the ingredients and place in food processor. Pulse 1-2 times and then add cilantro, juice from one lime, coarse salt and cracked pepper and pulse 2 more times.

Put the grate back on the grill. Spread some olive oil on the tortillas and place on the grill. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until you see the grill marks. (See the picture) GREATEST PROMOTION EVER! COMING JUNE 2018
