الأنديزيــــــة”، نهجًا مبتكرًا يقوم على إنتاج دمى محشوة وأعمال تطريز تزيّن الوسائد ومفارش الطاولت والحقائب. ومن خلال تجربتها، ألهمت أليســــــيا آخرين للانضمام إلــــــى جهود حماية الطبيعــــــة، مع تمكينهم في الوقت ذاته من تأمين مستقبل أسرهم وصون النظم البيئية في جبال الأنديز. تتطلّــــــب حماية الطبيعة اليوم نهجًا متعدّد الأبعــــــاد يســــــتند إلى تكامــــــل التخصصات وتنوّع الخبرات لضمان فاعلية الجهود. فلم تعد الحماية مقتصرة على العلوم الطبيعية التقليدية، بل باتت تشمل مجالت التصال والعلوم الجتماعيــــــة والتقنيات الحديثة والهندســــــة وغيرها. وقد أتاح هذا التحوّل الشــــــمولي فهمًا أعمق للنظم البيئية، وعزّز مشــــــاركة المجتمعات فــــــي صياغة جهود الحماية وتنفيذها. أصبــــــح واضحًا اليــــــوم أن حماية الطبيعة قضيــــــة مجتمعية شــــــاملة تتطلّــــــب حلول متنوّعــــــة تتكامــــــل ضمــــــن رؤيــــــة واحدة. ويبــــــرز هنا ســــــؤال جوهري: كيــــــف نغذّي روح الفضــــــول، ونحفّــــــز العمل، ونرسّــــــخ تغيّر الســــــلوك؟ إن إدماج السرد القصصي وحملات التوعية يشــــــكّل عنصرًا أساسيًا في هذا المســــــار، وقد عمل الصندوق على استكشــــــاف مقاربات إبداعية تتيح إشراك مزيد من الأطراف بصفة شــــــركاء فاعلين في جهود الحماية.

in Salakpur village, Nepal. Initially aimed at generating conservation funding, it evolved into a source of income for local households, ultimately benefiting around 300 families. This initiative not only provided honey for health and financial stability but also led to a reduction in hunting and poaching, improving the habitat for Cloud- ed leopards and other wildlife. Part of most conservation initiatives to reduce threats is to improve alternative livelihoods in communities that coexist with wildlife. Alicia Arango, president of the Association of Quechua Women for the Conservation of Andean Felines, has used an innovative approach by cre- ating stuffed animals and embroideries that transform into cushions, tablecloths, and bags. Through her ex- ample, she has inspired others to engage in conservation efforts while securing their families ʹ futures and protect- ing Andean ecosystems. Conservation today requires a multifaceted approach that draws on various disciplines and talents to effectively protect nature. Gone are the days when conservation was limited to traditional natural sciences; it now em- braces communications, social science, technology, and engineering, among others. This shift toward inclusivity allows for a richer understanding of ecological systems and promotes community engagement. Today, it is clear that conservation is an all-of-society issue that requires diverse, unified solutions. How do we stimulate curiosity, mobilise action, and change behaviour? Incorporating storytelling and awareness campaigns is essential, and the Fund has explored cre- ative approaches to engage more stakeholders as con- servation stewards. South America is a land of passion, and few things re- flect that passion more than football. More than 50 per cent of Chileans identify as fans of Colo-Colo, the most popular and successful football club in the country. Until recently, however, there was no connection between the team and the wild cat that shares its name. This discon- nect presented a unique opportunity. Together with Co- lo-Colo Football Club, the Colocolo Conservation Project [CCP] launched an unprecedented awareness campaign that bridged the gap between conservation and national identity. For the first time ever, the professional football

فيديو عالية الجودة تضم لقطات حقيقية التُقطــــــت عبر كاميرات المراقبة الميدانية، إلــــــى جانب إقامة منصّــــــات تعليمية داخل الملعب، وعــــــرض نماذج بالحجم الطبيعي لــــــكل من قط الكولوكولــــــو وقط الغوينيا - وهو نوع آخر صغير من القطط البرية في تشــــــيلي - ليتمكّن اللاعبون والجماهير من التعرّف إليهما عن قرب. كما نظّم المشروع جلسة توعوية قصيرة للفريق حول جهود الحماية، شــــــارك فيها نجوم عالميون مثل أرتورو فيدال، اللاعب الســــــابق في بايرن ميونيخ وجوفنتوس وبرشلونة وفلامنغو، حيث ظهروا إلى جانب النماذج وســــــجّلوا رسائل توعية موجّهة للجمهور. ومــــــن خلال هذا الشــــــغف، تصل الرســــــالة إلــــــى مختلف أنحاء البــــــلاد، وتُبنى ملامح مســــــتقبل أكثر أمنًا لهذا القط الفريد. وفي هذا الســــــياق، يتجاوز دعم الصندوق دور التمويــــــل المباشــــــر ليغدو اســــــتثمارًا في الإبداع والتعليم والهوية والأمل.

But the awareness didn ʹ t stop there. Support from the Fund made it possible to produce high-quality videos featuring real footage from our trail cameras, set up ed- ucational stands in the stadium, and bring life-sized rep- licas of the Colocolo and the Güiña [another small wild cat found in Chile] so players and fans could see them up close. CCP even held a short conservation class for the team, with global stars like Arturo Vidal, former player for Bayern Munich, Juventus, Barcelona, and Flamengo, posing with their replicas and recording conservation messages for the public. Through passion, they are reaching every corner of the country and building a future for this extraordinary fe- line. In this case, the Fund ʹ s support is more than just financial; it has been an investment in creativity, educa- tion, identity, and hope. The integration of technology and social science has also significantly transformed conservation practices. Ad- vanced technologies like drones and analytics, includ-
