وتوضّح جاكلين كاراتشي، مديرة الابتكار في قســـــم المجوهـــــرات الفاخـــــرة: “يكمن التحـــــدّي فـــــي ابتكار نهج مميّـــــز قائم على الاختـــــزال، فـــــي مفارقـــــة تجسّـــــد جوهـــــر البساطة المتقنة. إنه فن النظر إلى الأشياء بطريقـــــة مختلفـــــة، وموازنتها بدقّة في آن واحد. وفي هذا يتجلّى فن التوازن، الكامن فـــــي صميـــــم مقاربتنـــــا الإبداعيـــــة، والذي يكشف عن تناغم كارتييه المدروس.” يتطلّب بلوغ هذا الأثر مستوًى استثنائيًا من الحِرَفية. فكل ماسة تُوضَع بدقّة متناهية،
فـــــي كثير مـــــن ابتكارات كارتييـــــه، تنطلق الفكرة من الحجر نفســـــه، حيث تُملي شدّة لونـــــه وتركيبتـــــه الفريدة ملامـــــح التكوين الـــــذي سيُشـــــكّله. وفـــــي مجموعـــــة “آن إيكيليبـــــر”، يحضر اللـــــون كعنصر محوري، ويتجلّى ذلك بوضوح في عقد “أوندورا”، الـــــذي يحاكي “لقاء لونيًا يقوم على توازن دقيق بين العضوي والهندســـــي.” في هذه القطعـــــة، تتجـــــاور أحجـــــار الكرايزوبـــــراز والإســـــبينيل والفيروز مـــــع الألماس ضمن لوحة لونية حضرت في أعمال كارتييه منذ مطلع القرن العشرين، وتحمل في تصميمها أصداء أســـــلوب “الآرت ديكو”. واستلهامًا مـــــن قناديل البحـــــر وحركتها الانســـــيابية، تتشـــــكل الحُلـــــي المتدليّـــــة والخرزات في
هيئـــــة تجريديـــــة، يوازنها حضـــــور واضح للبنية والتناظر. وإذا كان اللّـــــون يمنـــــح القطعـــــة صداهـــــا العاطفـــــي، فإن الحجم يضفي عليها بُعدها المعمـــــاري. ففي عالم المجوهرات الفاخرة، يقتـــــرب التعامـــــل مع الشـــــكل مـــــن منطق النحت، حيث تُســـــهم مواضع الأحجار في تحقيق توازن دقيق يطال القطعة بأكملها. تجسّـــــد قـــــلادة “ســـــبلينديا” هـــــذا النهـــــج بوضـــــوح. فقد رُتّبت أربع وثلاثون ماســـــة متطابقة بعناية في انسياب ضوئي يتهادى مـــــن العقـــــد كخيط من النـــــور. ويمنح بناء القطعة وتموضع كل حجر بدقّة إحساسًـــــا بأنها معلّقة أو تطفو في الفراغ.
بحيث ينســـــاب الضوء بسلاسة عبر سطح القطعة. وفي هذه القرارات التقنية الخفية، تتجلّى براعـــــة ورش كارتييه للمجوهرات الفاخرة وذروة إتقانها. البُعـــــد الأخيـــــر الذي تستكشـــــفه مجموعة “آن إيكيليبر” هو الإيقاع، ونستشـــــعره من خـــــلال تكرار الأشـــــكال وتحوّلاتها، فيخلق حركـــــة تنســـــاب عبـــــر التصميم. وتجسّـــــد قلادة “يوفونيا” هذا المفهوم، حيث تتآلف أحجار الياقوت المقطوعة بأسلوب الزمرد مع الألماس ضمن تكوين هندســـــي مفتوح،
The En Équilibre collection is organised around three ide- as: colour, volume and rhythm. Each offers a different way of thinking about balance, revealing how Cartier approaches form, structure and movement within its High Jewellery. In many Cartier creations, the starting point is the gem- stone itself, with the intensity of its colour and character informing the composition that follows. In this collec- tion, the importance of colour appears throughout but perhaps most evidently in the Ondora necklace, which is described as “a chromatic encounter balanced in a dialogue between the organic and geometric”. Chryso- prase, spinels and turquoise are brought together with diamonds in a palette that Cartier has explored since the early twentieth century and whose design carries an Art Deco influence. creation form an abstract motif balanced by structure and symmetry. If colour provides emotional resonance, volume introduc- es architecture. High Jewellery demands an almost sculp- tural understanding of form, where the placement of each stone contributes to the equilibrium of the entire piece. The Splendea necklace exemplifies this approach. Thir- ty-four perfectly matched diamonds are arranged in a luminous cascade that descends from the collar in a rib- bon of light. The construction of the piece and the precise positioning of each stone allow it to appear suspended. As Jacqueline Karachi, Director of High Jewellery Crea- tion, explains: “Creating a distinctive line through un- derstatement is the paradox of sophisticated simplicity. It’s the art of looking at things differently, but also the art of balancing them with precision. It’s the art of bal-
