dren, strangers with no church connec- tion, unless they visit the homes and enter the parlor Bible class, as our corps of Bible women are doing day after day. These all day conferences with the open Book are a proven bless- ing, and we believe will be more and more fruitful. The Fishermen's Club has been incor- porated in order to perfect the name. 1 The marked blessing which has accom- panied the life of this organization has given it large prestige. The club stands for such high Christian ideals in life and doctrne, that it seems wise to in- corporate,. so that the name might al- ways be associated in this State with devotedness of life to the Word of God and to the winning of souls. The pin of the club has been copyrighted, and now the fellows feel that there is renewed obligation upon them to live the life of the Lord Jesus and defend His Word. Under the direction of Sky Pilot Han- nay, street meetings are being conduct- ed every noon at Second and Los An- geles streets, and a number of men have confessed publicly their faith in our Lord. Mr. Barrett, assisted by Jesse Martin, will commence young peoples' meetings in the Garvanza Congregational Church the second Sunday of January. A number of the Fishermen's Club will be out during the holidays holding special services. Messrs. Barrett and Pratt, assisted by Olin and Woerner, have been hold- ing young peoples' union meetings in Santa Ana with splendid results. Few men in the city occupy a higher place in the esti- mation of the business world than our brother Irvine, and the Institute is to be congratulated in this accession to its force. DE. B. C. ATTEEBURY. Our beloved secretary and treasurer, who has served us with singleness of heart from the organization of our In- stitute, has been called upon to give back to the Lord the good wife He gave him. Mrs. Atterbury, who, to- gether with her husband, served for many years as a missionary in China, has gone to her reward. She lived a life of real devotion to her Master, and departed in the fulness of the faith of her childhood. Our brother has the fullest sympathy of all of his associates and friends in his sorrow, and is com- forted with the nope that thrills so many of our souls—the speedy coming of the Lord. Dr. Atterbury has found it necessary to resign his position as an officer of the Institute, but will con- tinue his class on mission study on Fri- day afternoons. We take this oppor- tunity to express our deep appreciation ox the services of our brother, and be- speak for him continual prayers. ALL DAY MEETINGS. The Bible women are being much blessed in holding all day meetings for women, the Women's Auxiliary meeting with them in the work. From 10 a. in. to 4 p. m. the day is crowded with help- ful presentations of the Truth as it is in Christ Jesus, the services closing with testimony and praise. The plan of salvation is always clear- ly stated^ and the wisdom of so doing is proven in the awakening of souls. One can scarcely appreciate the ignor- an'ce.of God's Word among our women —mothers house-bound by their chil-
