HORNSEY & THREE BRIDGES TRAIN DEPOTS, SIEMENS PLC, £200m+, 208 WEEKS
VolkerFitzpatrick is undertaking the design, build and commissioning of two train depots, in parallel, for Siemens as part of their Thameslink Rolling Stock programme.
The depots at Hornsey, North London, and Three Bridges in Crawley will include three and five road 12-car maintenance buildings respectively with workshops, stores, offices, train stabling and servicing roads.
Each depot will be equipped with carriage washing machines and all associated infrastructure. Bridge widening works are also being undertaken at both locations.
