MONTHLY PROGRAMS Adult Programs Bookworms Book Club meets on the fourth Thur. of the month at 6:30 p.m. May 25 - “The Nest” by Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney June 24 - “The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper” by Phaedra Patrick July 22 - “Homegoing” by Yaa Gyasi Aug. 26 - “The Hopefuls” by Jennifer Close Writers’ Group meets monthly on the second Thur. of the month at 6:30 p.m. Tabletop Tuesday Game Night meets on the third Tues. of the month at 6:30 p.m. Gather your friends for fun and challenging board and card games! Various games will be offered, but we also encourage you to B.Y.O.G. (Bring Your Own Game)! Adult Maker Saturday meets monthly on the fourth Sat. of the month at 10:30 a.m. Each month has a new topic
Teen Programs Teen Advisory Group meets the second Tues. of every month at 6:30 p.m. Want to have a say about the books and movies the library buys? Need to earn some volunteer hours? Want to hang out at the library, eat snacks, and play some games? If your answer to any of those questions is YES, then the Teen Advisory Board is for you. DIY Preteen Craft Afternoon meets monthly on the third Sat. at 2 p.m. Opportunity for preteens to get creative and crafty with a variety of DIY projects. Children’s Programs Baby Bounce meets Mon. at 10:30 a.m., a story time for babies ages 6 - 18 months. Toddler Time meets Wed. mornings at 10:30 a.m., a story time event for ages 18 months - 3 years. Preschool Story time meets Tues. and Thur. at 10:30 a.m., a story time event with crafts for toddlers and young children ages 3 - 5. Weekend Movie and Activity held monthly on the second Sat. of the month at 2 p.m. Each month a different movie is shown and different craft or activity is offered. Summer Reading Club at the Pearland Westside Julian Franklin will be performing at the Pearland Westside Library on July 18 at 2 p.m. as part of our Summer Reading Club events and programs. It is open to all families.
