Age: 8 - 12 years Location: WEC Transform into an engineer with hands-on projects in this exciting and challenging summer camp. Build roller coasters and hovercrafts. Learn about solar power and build race cars. Design catapults and trebuchets and see how far you can launch. Ever wonder how a car works? What makes a clock tick? Creativity and ingenuity are what this camp is all about. This camp is perfect for the engineering minded student who loves to build, create, and see how things work! FIT FOR YOUTH ORIENTATIONS Cost: Free Age: 10 - 15 years Location: RCN
Orientations include a tour of the cardio and strength equipment within the Recreation Center & Natatorium weight room. During Orientation “A” fitness attendants will introduce the common policies and procedures of the weight room while demonstrating proper technique on each piece of equipment. The goal of the orientation is to ensure youth gain proper knowledge and understanding of the weight room equipment. Upon successful completion of both orientation “A” & “B” the youth will be granted access to utilize the weight room with direct parent/guardian supervision. Registration is required. Please contact the Parks & Recreation office to register. Every Sat., 12 - 1 p.m.
