A MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR
In November of each year, one Commissioner is named Deputy Mayor, while another is named Assistant Deputy Mayor.
As we head into the final months of the year, we should reflect on what truly makes Sunrise strong. It is more than our brick-and-mortar or even the strength of our local business economy. What makes Sunrise strong is the everyday opportunities we create for every person and business who calls our City home. Whether through accessible public services like our senior transportation, programs that keep you active and engaged, or the many free events that celebrate our cultures and backgrounds, our goal remains simple: ensuring every resident and business has a sense of belonging. When we invest in public spaces, we are investing in each other. Premier facilities like our beautiful Sunrise Amphitheater and Signature Sunrise ballroom, both of which opened just one year ago, belong to all of us. They are welcoming areas designed to host life’s major milestones and build lasting connections among neighbors. In its first year, Signature Sunrise has already hosted over 100 events, rapidly becoming a valuable local resource and one of Broward County’s fastest- growing event spaces! That spirit of connection is on full display during our free Tunes ‘N Trucks concert series, which kicks off another exciting season this October. Over the last year, between the new Sunrise Amphitheater and our other favorite city parks, Tunes ‘N Trucks welcomed more than 12,000 residents and guests of all ages who experienced
great food, listened and danced to local music, and enjoyed one another’s company. The Amphitheater also became home to annual traditions like Earth Day, the Fall Harvest Festival, and Light Up the Holidays, which drew a combined attendance of over 10,000 people last year! The next few months are packed with even more celebrations that showcase the excitement of living in Sunrise. We start with festive, health- focused family fun at our annual Trick or Trot 5K and Kids’ Dash on October 17th, along with our Boo Bash at City Park on October 24th. In November, our Cultural Festival celebrates the rich traditions and cultures that make Sunrise a strong and united community. We will close out the year celebrating the spirit of the season at Light Up the Holidays on December 5th, featuring free admission to Winter Wonderland so that every family can experience the magic. Sunrise is at its best when we lift each other up, care for our neighbors, and support a City that works for everyone. On behalf of the City Commission and our dedicated municipal staff, we wish you and your loved ones a healthy, safe, and joyful holiday season. Thank you for all your

1. REGISTER ONLINE AT SUNRISEFL.GOV/ REGISTRATION OR USE ONE FORM TO REGISTER: Please print in ink or type. Make sure you fill out the registration form and waiver completely. Incomplete forms will be returned, and could delay your registration process. You may make additional photocopies of the form to submit if necessary. 2. LIST THE APPROPRIATE ACTIVITY NUMBER ON YOUR REGISTRATION FORM. Refer to the activity listing for the properactivity number. 3. DO NOT SEND CASH! Make checks or money orders payable to theCity of Sunrise or complete credit card information on your registration form. Payment in full is required with each registration. (There isa $20 or 5% charge - whichever is greater - for all checks not honoredfor any reason by the bank). Payment by check or money order will only be accepted if received three (3) weeks prior to the activity. 4. PROOF OF RESIDENCY/AGE IS REQUIRED. Each time you register for a sport or activity, you must provide proof of residency as specified in the table on the left in order to qualify for the discounted Sunriseresident rate.
