Fighting at the fort! History alive.
BATTLEFIELD Year 4 went on a fun visit to the Lunt where they were greeted by Roman soldiers! They learnt about interesting facts about Roman History and explored a range of artefacts and armours that were used by Roman soldiers on the battlefield. Year 4 also had an opportunity to visit and learn about the key areas such as the gyrus, ramparts and granary. They learnt how to use similar tactics used by Romans to win battles against Boudicca’s soldiers including the use of a ditch, using swords and shields. Year 4 had an epic day of learning and were able to practise their fighting skills in the gyrus! Thanks to Miss. Saghir for the story.
