Canadian Tire a célébré la journée Bon Départ le samedi 30 mai dernier à Rockland, en organisant un barbecue et des activités au profit de la Fondation Bon Départ de Canadian Tire. À cette occasion, le Club Richelieu de Rockland a fait un don de 2500 $ qui sera jumelé par la Fondation, pour un total de 5000 $. La Fondation, en partenariat avec Valoris et le programme C’est ta communauté , utilisera cet argent pour aider des enfants de Clarence-Rockland qui veulent participer à des activités sportives. L’année dernière, 243 enfants de cette communauté ont reçu de l’aide pour des frais d’inscription ou pour l’achat d’équipement pour des activités sportives. Le succès de cette activité a été rendu possible grâce aux nombreux partenaires, commanditaires et clients. La Tournée des ateliers d’art d’Orléans revient les 13 et 14 juin, avec en avant- première, le vernissage, le mercredi 10 juin à la galerie Wall Space, de 19 h à 21 h. De plus, pendant le week-end de l’événe- ment, la galerie présentera des œuvres des 16 artistes de cette 9 e édition. Cette formule aidera les visiteurs à décider de leurs itiné- raires selon leurs goûts et leurs coups de cœur. Certains ne se posent pas la question, ils les font tous. Il y a dix sites. « Nos visiteurs sont des gens qui aiment l’art et qui aiment voir la progression des artistes. C’est intéressant parce qu’on a l’occasion d’échanger. C’est beaucoup plus convivial parce que c’est à la maison », a expliqué Hélène Lepage, au nombre des artistes. L’événement vise à promouvoir les ar- tistes de l’est d’Ottawa et permet de célébrer la diversité qui prévaut au sein de la colonie artistique. « On a quatre nouveaux cette année. On a de la peinturemoderne, d’autres plus réa- listes, il y en a qui font des fleurs, d’autres qui n’en font pas. Il y a Lucie Leclerc, une spécialiste de l’encaustique qui est une très vielle technique et qui donne un fini très spécial ou encore, Adèle Pierce qui fait de très beaux paysages ou encore, Marc Gagné qui est assez unique avec ces CD recyclés. Moi, je travaille les médiums fluides, l’encre et l’aquarelle et je peins souvent sur le papier de soie, c’est assez particulier comme résul- tat.
