PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED UPDATE TO THE OFFICIAL PLAN FOR THE CORPORATION OF THE UNITED COUNTIES OF PRESCOTT AND RUSSELL TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of the Corporation of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell will hold a second Public Meeting to consider a proposed update to the Official Plan for the United Counties of Prescott and Russell as required under Section 26 of the Planning Act , R.S.O. 1990. PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The current Official Plan was adopted on December 7th, 1999.The Official Plan Amendment No. 27 has been initiated by the Council for the Corporation of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell pursuant to the provisions of Section 26 of the Planning Act , R.S.O. 1990 c. P.13, as amended. The proposed amendment is a general amendment which will result in revisions to the policies and to the schedules in the County Official Plan to provide guidance and direction to growth and development, redevelopment and/or conservation in the United Counties in compliance with the Provincial Policy Statement. A key map is not required as the proposed Official Plan Amendment is applicable to all properties located within the corporate limits of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell. TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of the Corporation of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell will hold a Public Meeting under the Planning Act on: • Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the United Counties of Prescott and Russell Administrative Building located at 59 Court Street, L’Orignal, Ontario. This Meeting will provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the FINAL version of the Official Plan Amendment No. 27. County Council will hear presentations but requests that written comments also be provided before July 24, 2015 in order for Council to consider this Amendment for a decision at the regular meeting scheduled on August 26th, 2015 at 9 a.m. ANY PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY may attend the Public Meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Official Plan Amendment or the proposed by-law.
