Avis de soumission du Rapport d’étude d’évaluation environnementale L’évaluation environnementale de l’expansion du Complexe environnemental de l’est de l’Ontario GFL Environmental Inc. (anciennement Lafleche Environmental Inc.), a terminé l’évaluation environnementale (« EE ») de l’expansion du Complexe environnemental de l’est de l’Ontario (CEEO). Conformément à l’article 6.2(1) de la Loi sur les évaluations environnementales et aux Termes de références approuvés par le ministre de l’Environnement et de l’Action en matière de changement climatique le 11 mai 2017, GFL Environmental Inc. a soumis son évaluation environnementale au Ministère de l’Environnement et de l’Action en matière de changement climatique aux fins d’examen et d’approbation. Le CEEO est situé dans le canton de North Stormont, à environ 5 km au nord-nord-ouest du village Moose Creek, Ontario, et 5 km à l’est du village de Casselman, Ontario. L’emplacement du Complexe est illustré sur la carte ci-après. L’expansion du CEEO augmentera la capacité du site d’enfouissement déjà existant du CEEO d’environ 4,2 millions de mètres cubes. Le projet d’expansion implique la mise en oeuvre des étapes 3B et 4 dans les limites du site d’enfouissement existant du CEEO. Ces étapes avaient été identifiées aux fins de mises en oeuvre dans le cadre de l’approbation initiale du CEEO.
Notice of Submission of Environmental Assessment Study Report Eastern Ontario Waste Handling Facility Landfill Expansion Environmental Assessment GFL Environmental Inc. (formerly Lafleche Environmental Inc.) has completed the environmental assessment (EA) for the Eastern Ontario Waste Handling Facility (EOWHF) Landfill Expansion. As required under section 6.2(1) of the Environmental Assessment Act and according to the Terms of Reference approved by the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change on May 11, 2017, GFL Environmental Inc. has submitted its environmental assessment to the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change for review and approval. The EOWHF is located within the Township of North Stormont, approximately 5 kilometres north-northwest of the village of Moose Creek, Ontario, and 5 kilometres east of the village of Casselman, Ontario. The location of the Facility is shown on the Key Plan below. The EOWHF Landfill Expansion will increase the disposal capacity of the existing landfill at the EOWHF by approximately 4.2 million cubic metres. The proposed expansion will involve the development of Stage 3B and Stage 4 inside the boundaries of the existing EOWHF. These landfill stages were identified for development in the original approval for the EOWHF.
