Our Talking Therapies Plus service aims to support people aged 18+ from underserved communities in Sandwell which may include Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups; refugees and migrants; LGBTQ+ people; older adults; and men.

Communities in Sync: WDH Sandwell (Wider Determinants of Health Sandwell) Web: https://communitiesinsync.info/our-services/wdh/ A WDH Sandwell (Wider Determinants of Health Sandwell) is an initiative that addresses a range of social, environmental, and economic factors impacting the health and well-being of the local population. These factors, known as the wider determinants of health, directly influence both physical and mental health outcomes. WDH Sandwell offers a range of support, services and activities, which aims to improve the overall well-being of residents by tackling the underlying issues that affect their health. Delivered by 15 Sandwell community partners, and in partnership with the Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT), by addressing these wider determinants, the initiative seeks to create a healthier, more resilient community. For all Sandwell residents 18+, with targeted support for Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups, Central and Eastern European (CEE) nationals, Refugees and Migrants, people who have disabilities and/or long-term conditions, women over 50, and people living in areas of high deprivation.

We use a person-centred and flexible approach to help you, your family and friends to make positive changes including emotional wellbeing and mental health. You will have access to information and advice, assessments, drug and alcohol detoxification, family information and support, 1-to-1 sessions, group sessions and programmes, health MOTs, recovery focused treatment, needle exchange, prescribing services and recovery champions. You can self-refer via the referral form on our website, or a professional can refer you.
