VECTA MOBILE SENSORY STATIONS

VECTA MOBILE SENSORY STATIONS The Vecta Mobile Sensory Station is ideal where space is at a premium. It turns any room into a relaxing, distracting and empowering Multi-Sensory Room. Its minimal footprint makes this perfect for classrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and medical facilities. Appropriate for all ages and abilities. All our equipment is LED and designed for ease of use and maintenance. Each Vecta includes our hospital-grade disinfectant spray to clean all the equipment and the cart. The Vecta contains all the essential equipment found in a permanent sensory room effectively contained on our mobile cart. Vectas are often used as a sensory break within a classroom or in a small sensory room. Vectas can be utilized in a variety of ways. They can be used to calm anxieties in stressful situations by providing a unique distraction in a busy environment. By reducing the speed of the equipment, you will create a relaxing atmosphere for patients and their families. All the equipment is plugged into a power strip on the back of the cart for customizing the preferences of each individual. If you need to alert a lethargic person, you can increase the speed of the equipment, play upbeat music and offer more engagement between the user and the equipment.

There are two models of tfh Vectas - Deluxe (9VCTAD) and Delight (9VCTAH). See our website for more information (www.specialneedstoys.com/usa).

Bubble or Hurricane Tubes Focal point of any Vecta Station. Plug in Vecta main power cord and tubes will come on. LED lights gradually change colors. Bubbles/Beads (Hurricane) circulate through tube. Base of tubes includes a Speed Dial for pump control & jack for a 4-Button Wired Color Controller (Deluxe & Delight)

SNAP Projector

Visual Distraction Plug in Vecta main power cord and Projector will come on. You can unplug this at the back of the projector if not beneficial. Attach magnetic Projector Wheel to rotator. Choose the speed of the rotation with dial located on the front of the rotator. For calming, choose abstract wheel (Liquid Wheel show below). For alerting, choose a picture wheel (found on our website). Projector can be pivoted to project on any wall. The side knobs can be used to angle the projector on the ceiling or floor.

Fiber Optics

Visual, Tactile Sensory Stimulation Plug in Vecta main power cord and Fiber Optic Spray will come on. LED lights gradually change colors. Offer the strands for a captivating visual and tactile experience. Lay them on the individual for a calming weighted benefit. Play with the strands; "comb" them, braid them, use the ends for therapeutic brushing techniques. Strands should never be mouthed.

Vecta Cart The Vecta Cart is made of strong marine MDF material with a hospital-grade power strip which all the equipment plugs into and a 12' cord for use in a standard outlet. Three acrylic mirrors surround the 4' Interactive Bubble/Hurricane Tube giving the illusion of multiple columns. The two side wing mirrors are hinged and can be adjusted for one's particular preferences. These mirrors can be closed and locked for easy transport and storage. The cart also includes a locked storage cabinet in the rear and four smooth lockable caster wheels, to easily move the Vecta.

Bluetooth Amplifier The unique Bluetooth Amplifier is attached to a shelf inside the back cabinet of the Vecta. The amplifier connects to any music app so you can have the preferred music for the individual or for the session theme.

You can also create your own play list on a USB stick and insert into the amplifier.

Speakers The speakers are located in the middle of the back mirror. This allows for complete immersion of the music.

Music is one way of controlling the purpose of the session.

Calming - choose soothing instrumentals Alerting - choose upbeat songs with lyrics.

VECTA Engagement Suggestions These are only suggestions and should not be taken as medical, therapeutic or educational advice for treatment or cure of any medical condition. Calmly and slowly, present the VECTA to the individual and ask if they would like you to turn it on. Remember that when plugging the VECTA in, all the equipment will turn on at the same time and speeds may vary depending on the previous user. It is suggested that you turn the VECTA away from the individual's direct line of sight so not to startle them. Adjust the speed of the Bubble or Hurricane Tube to the individual's preference or need. Notice their reaction to the speed you choose and adjust until you reach the desired state. 1. Position the Projector image where it can easily be seen by the individual. Be aware of the angle of the lens so you do not shine it in the individuals eyes. It may be best to always unplug the power source of the projector (at the back of the projector) after using the VECTA. 2. Select the appropriate Projector Wheel and attach it to the magnetic rotator (small white box at the top of the projector-black magnetic wheel). 3. 4.Adjust the speed of the Projector to the individual's preference or desired state. Offer the Fiber Optic Spray to the individual. Allow them to manipulate the strands with their hands or feet. Lay strand on lap or around shoulders for weighted benefit. 5. 6.Offer the option of music, if appropriate.
