People in Prescott-Russell get to have their say about what kind of regional public transit service they want. The United Counties of Prescott-Russell (UCPR) and a consultant group, Axion, have set up an online survey, available in both French BOE&OHMJTI BU www.surveymonkey.com/r/ 135SBOTQP&/ to gather opinions from area residents about their needs for a regional public transit service. Access to the survey is available until May 10, and all data collected will help with route planning and scheduling. &BSMJFSUIJTZFBS UIFQSPWJODJBMHPWFSONFOU confirmed $1.5 million in support funding for the next four years towards the development and operation costs of an intermunicipal transit program for Prescott-Russell. Part of the plan includes linking PR Transpo with all local public transit services. Five public information meetings are sche- duled to explain how an intermunicipal transit system could operate in Prescott-Russell, and to get residents’ feedback on the project. The meetings will all take place at 6:30 p.m. at local community halls. Dates and locations for the meetings are April 30, Vankleek Hill, 36 Mill Street, second floor; May 1, Limoges, 205 Limoges Road; May 2, Plantagenet, 220 .BJO4USFFU .BZ 4U&VHÍOF -BCSPTTF Street; May 9, Bourget, 19 Lavigne Road. The goal is to have a regional public transit service set up and running by September this year.
