ATG BREAKS GROUND IN CLARENCE-ROCKLAND

Oakwood has partnered with construction company PCL and architectural and engi- neering firm IDEA, as well as other local companies. “Many of the people working on this building are local companies who employ or spend local, and most workers are also from here,” said Desjardins. “Fifteen years ago, A.T.G. chose the city of Clarence-Rockland for their young company. With their products sold all over the world, they have spread our municipality’s name globally.” Excavation has begun on the site on Industrielle Street and much of the top soil has already been stripped away. A ground-breaking ceremony was held on Monday, April 9, for ATG Industries Manufacturing’s new facility on Industrielle Street in Clarence-Rockland. ATG Industries Inc. (ATG), a manufacturing company for the aerospace and high-tech sectors, will be moving from their current headquarters at 729 Industrielle, to a new, larger facility at 731 Industrielle. Currently, ATG employs approximately 40 people. Once the project is complete, the new 26 280 square foot ATG facility will employ over 50 people. “This new building is a great investment for this community,” said Mayor Guy Desjar- dins. “It will reconfigurate our industrial park and send a strong message that Clarence- Rockland is open for business and can ac- commodate the needs of a manufacturing sector.” ATG specializes in multi axis computer OVNFSJDBMDPOUSPM $/$ NJMMJOHBOE$/$ turning or raw metals and surface finishing, such as chemical films, anodization, liquid and power coating, for the aerospace and high-tech sectors. “Parts manufactured by ATG go to the most remote mountain top observatories, deep-ocean mapping expedi- tions, life sciences, to the entertainment industry and help our troops that serve our country, to name a few,” said Jean-Philippe Ayotte, ATG President and one of its owners.
