The Legion Hall was packed on New Year’s Eve as those fortunate enough to acquire tickets enjoyed amarvelous evening of fun, laughter and great music.The Lefties Band entertained the audience, but was playing with heavy hearts. The lead singer Kalin Andrew’s wife had passed away earlier in the day. It was her wish that Kalin continue with the band. Norman Campeau, one of the legion’s regular entertainers, also sang some of the audience’s favorite classic country songs and received a great applause. Nicole Trottier and Yves Paquette worked many hours organizing and preparing for this event.The evening finished with the count down, dropping of balloons, everyone wishing one another a Happy New Year’s and a beautiful cold buffet. The legion welcomes new members and reminds people it is not necessary to be in the military to join. All events are open to the public.
