Transfer of Credit/Advanced Standing With the exception of courses in music theory, keyboard skills, and individual performance, courses taken at ocher regionally accredited colleges and universities in the United Scates will be acx epted on a comparable course basis. Prior study in the areas of music theory , keyboard skills, and individual performance will he validated through placement examinations. Admission into Biola University does not guarantee admission into the tvlusic Department as a music major. A student will be admitted to the department of music after: I. These examinations are given for the purpose of validatin g prior stud y and determining proper 'pla cement in music courses. MINOR

For those students interested in a formal, cohesive music c ur­ riculum hut who are not interested in music as a major, a Musi c Minor is available. The Mu s ic Minor requires 2.> units: 17 units of spec­ ified lower division courses and 6 units of upper division courses.
